A question I get asked from time to time is, should I clean my gutters when the leaves are wet, or should I wait until they are dry? It’s a good question and the answer really depends on your own personal preference in most cases. When you use one of the various gutter cleaning tools, cleaning wet leaves is often easier and quicker. I say that because the leaves are wet and they clump together real well. So, you can remove more of them from your gutter at one time and get the job done faster. The drawback is that you will most likely get a little wet and dirty in doing so.
Cleaning out dry leaves can be a little more time consuming, but you do not get as messy doing the job. In some cases you can even use a leaf blower and blow all the leaves and debris out of the rain gutter without even having to touch them.
